Harney District Hospital welcomes new ENT

HARNEY COUNTY(Released by the Harney District Hospital)-Harney District Hospital is excited to welcome Dr. Jean Verheyden, who joined our team on Monday, Nov. 11. Dr. Verheyden is a board-certified otolaryngology physician. Otolaryngology is a medical specialty that focuses on the ears, nose, and throat (ENT).

Dr. Verheyden will be providing a mix of surgical and clinical services at Harney District Hospital and the Specialty Care Clinic. On the clinic side, she’ll provide general ENT services — including addressing issues with hearing, sinus, nasal, voice, and problems in the head and neck area. On the hospital side, she will perform basic ENT surgeries — such as removing tonsils and adenoids, inserting tubes to treat ear infections, and screening for signs of cancer in the throat.
