Harney County has a new CAN Cancer Coordinator

HARNEY COUNTY-Please join us in welcoming Shanna Kinkade, the new program coordinator for CAN Cancer of Harney County!

Shanna is passionate about supporting Harney County’s cancer patients and their families as they face one of life’s most difficult challenges!

“Chances are that you and everyone you know has been affected by cancer in some way,” Shanna said. “This pervasive disease not only impacts those who’ve been diagnosed, but all of their friends and loved ones. In a tight-knit community like ours, the impacts of cancer are felt community wide. In addition to taking a toll on their health, cancer affects the patient and their family members emotionally, financially, and in every corner of daily life. For many of our friends and neighbors, the cost of transportation, lodging, and other nonmedical expenses becomes a barrier to receiving needed care. That’s where CAN Cancer steps in!”
