Harney County Flood Insurance Rate Maps available

BURNS – The City of Burns reports the new FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps are now active online. Residents in Harney County can log on to the the National Flood Hazard Layer Viewer and zoom the map over Harney County.
On Wednesday, February 7th, the Burns City Council passed Emergency Ordinance number 24-891, which approves the adoption of the new FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps and also, adds an amendment to the flood hazard regulations of the City of Burns’ zoning ordinance.
