Harney County-The Harney County Cattlewomen are please to announce that four Harney County students were awarded their 2023 scholarships. These students have many scholastic and extracurricular achievements and they are honored to share it about them. Proceeds from the Cattlewomen’s 2022 silent auction as well as generous donations from community members, Malheur Machinery and New Sun Energy helped give back to the community.
Tayleur Baler is a 2023 graduate of Crane Union High School. Her parents are Joe and Heather Baker. Tayleur will be a freshman at Oregon State University-Cascades where she plans to study Agricultural Communications.
Emery Hammond is a 2023 graduate of Crane Union High School. His parents are Steve and Earlyna Hammond. Emery will be a freshman at University of Idaho where he plans to study Animal Science & Production Managment.
Kaitlyn Wright is a 2021 graduate of Burns High School. Her parents are Bryan and Cori Wright. Kaitlyn is a sophomore at Oregon Institute of Technology where she is studying ultrasounds.
Ana Idoeta is a 2021 Crane Union High School Graduate. Here parents are Castor and Lisa Idoeta. Ana is a Junior at George Fox University where she is studying Psychology.
The Scholarship Committee states that they were impressed with the quality of the applications this year. The Harney County Cattlewomen Members want to extend their best wishes to all the applicants.
The Harney County Cattlewomen supports many activities in the community that promote and educate on beef and the ranching way of life.
The Harney County Cattlewomen would like to thank the community for the support in fundraising events and thank you for supporting the 69th annual Cattlewomen’s Buckaroo Breakfast.
