Grant County: Hamilton under Level 3 evacuation; Level 2 expanded

BONEYARD/MONKEY FIRES – UPDATE – 7/21 at 2:25 p.m. – Boneyard and Monkey Creek Evacuation

Notifications – Grant County
Due to fire activity in the northern county, the following areas have new evacuation notices:
A. From Hwy 395 at Justice Ranch Rd, to Dicks Creek Rd at Hwy 19, North to 402 is now in LEVEL 2 –

A Red Cross shelter is in open 24 hours at the Grant union HS: 911 S Canyon Blvd John Day.

Evacuation orders have upgraded for the community of Hamilton, who are now under a Level 3, Go Now! evacuation order. Find the Grant County Sheriff’s Office release below:

Boneyard and Monkey Creek Evacuation Notifications – Grant County  

Due to fire activity in the northern county, the following areas have new evacuation notices:  

A. HWY 395 north of Trout Rd. All of County Road 21/Trout Rd, Forest Rd 3980, and Forest Rd  3969. All of Bully Creek Lane – LEVEL 3 GO NOW  

B. West of Hwy 395 from Porter lane to the Umatilla County line and north of Hwy 402 from  Monument to Dust Rd.  

C. The area south of a line between the intersection of Hwy 402 and Durst Rd, and Hwy 395 and  Porter Lane remains at LEVEL 2 BE READY
