HALFWAY — Some residents in the town of Halfway were without water for a while due to a break in a water line, according to city officials. On February 25th, the city informed Halfway residents that water was shut off to properties along portions of South Pine and Commercial Streets due to a break in a secondary line.
After services were restored, the City of Halfway recommended folks run the water in their home for a few minutes before being consumed, as a precaution. Officials noted that substantial steps were taken to prevent contaminants from entering the water system.
