Halfway residents asked to run their water following line repair

HALFWAY — Some residents in the town of Halfway were without water for a while due to a break in a water line, according to city officials. On February 25^th, the city informed Halfway residents that water was shut off to properties along portions of South Pine and Commercial Streets due to a break in a secondary line.   

After services were restored, the City of Halfway recommended folks run the water in their home for a few minutes before being consumed, as a precaution. Officials noted that substantial steps were taken to prevent contaminants from entering the water system.
