Halfway man arrested on multiple DV charges

HALFWAY — A man from Halfway was arrested recently following a reported domestic incident. On Tuesday, September 9th at approximately 9:52 a.m., Baker County Deputy Henshaw responded to a location on Steele Hill Road out of Halfway for the request of assistance from the Oregon Department of Human Services. As a result, Jimmy Dean Smith, 53, of Halfway was arrested on charges of Assault IV—Domestic Violence, Strangulation—Domestic Violence, and Harassment—Domestic Violence.
As of Friday, September 12th, Smith was not listed in the Baker County Jail roster.
