Gusty winds increase chances for wildfire spread

GRANT COUNTY – The National Weather Service reports a cold front is set to sweep across the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday.

This will cause winds to increase, and it will be very gusty throughout the forecast region. While there are no alerts or warnings currently showing for Grant County, the National Weather Service graphic shows the John Day area receiving gusts up to 41 miles-per-hour tomorrow (Tuesday), beginning around noon and lasting through midnight.
