GRH Foundation Raises $243,000 at Healthier Together Campaign Event

LA GRANDE – (Release from the GRH Foundation) La Grande – The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation (the Foundation) is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its recent fundraising event held on June 24 at Union County Fairgrounds
“We surpassed all expectations by raising an astonishing sum of over $243,000 in support of our mission,” said Foundation Manager Patrick Flynn.
The fundraising event, aptly titled Healthier Together, brought together a diverse and enthusiastic group of philanthropists, community members, and corporate sponsors, all dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those Grande Ronde Hospital (GRH) serves. This tremendous achievement would not have been possible without their unwavering support and generosity.
The event featured a range of engaging activities, including outdoor games, food from local favorites Merlyn’s Catering and Z’s BBQ, a live musical performance by The Wasteland Kings. The key presentation featured a heartwarming video featuring GRH staff, as well as a former patient and future surgeon who is a beneficiary of our organization’s work talking about the importance of the Healthier Together project and the future of healthcare in Northeast Oregon and providing an update on the construction of the new campus building. The true heroes of the evening, however, were the compassionate donors who demonstrated their commitment to creating positive change. Their selfless contributions, whether big or small, collectively made a profound impact on the success of our fundraising efforts. With these funds, the Foundation will be able to expand access to health care and surgical services at GRH, implement new initiatives, and further amplify its impact in Northeast Oregon.
“We are overwhelmed by the incredible response to our fundraising event,” said Shannon Houck, Foundation Board Chair. “The generosity and support shown by our community and partners will enable us to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. Every dollar raised brings us closer to our shared vision of big-city medicine with a hometown touch. We are profoundly grateful for our supporters’ trust and belief in us.”
