GRH Foundation announces closing of Healthier Together Capital Campaign – Community celebrates $8.5 million milestone

LA GRANDE – (Press release from the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation) The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation has officially closed its Healthier Together Capital Campaign, announcing the successful raise of more than $8.5 million to strengthen and expand healthcare services for patients and families across Northeast Oregon.

The four-year campaign — comprised of a leadership phase in 2022–23 and a public fundraising phase beginning in 2023 — drew more than 11,700 individual gifts and pledges, 10,990 of which were $100 or less, demonstrating broad-based community investment in local healthcare.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. I think this summarizes exactly how we feel about our donors and the gift they have given that allows us to go farther than what many thought was possible.”

— Jeremy Davis, President & CEO, Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics

Campaign Investments

Campaign funds are being directed toward a range of high-impact projects, including:

  • New operating and procedure rooms as part of the 96,000-square-foot Surgical Services expansion
  • A $3.5 million Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Imaging Department expansion and realignment, currently underway
  • Partial funding toward a da Vinci 5 Surgical System ($3.7 million total project), a robotic-assisted platform for minimally invasive surgery, anticipated late summer or fall 2026
  • Updated furniture and equipment for the Family Birthing Center, reinforcing GRH’s commitment to accessible maternity care in Northeast Oregon

Looking Ahead

The Foundation has identified several future priorities, including the expansion of the Regional Medical Center on Fourth Street in La Grande, which would add clinical space and workforce training capacity.  Additional project announcements are expected in the coming months.

“The Foundation looks forward to carrying the Healthier Together spirit forward and continuing to translate donor generosity into a real, lasting impact for the patients and families of Northeast Oregon.”

— Patrick Flynn, Foundation Manager, GRH Foundation
