Gregg ties tournament record, leads after first round of Wildhorse Ladies Classic

MISSION – Epson Tour rookie Julia Gregg tied the tournament record of 62 on the first day of the 2025 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic. Her score of 10-under-par puts the University of Arkansas alum three strokes ahead of second place Amari Avery.
“Probably the best round I’ve played in my life honestly, it’s the lowest I’ve ever shot in a tournament,” said Gregg.
The round ties her with Pavarisa Yoktuan of Thailand who shot a 62 in the third round of the inaugural Wildhorse Ladies Classic in 2022.
Selanee Henderson Pendleton, a descendent of the Walla Walla tribe who received a sponsor exemption to play in the tournament, is tied for 129th after shooting five-over-par with a final score of 77.
“Made a lot of really good putts and lots of good up and downs, just had a few rusty mistakes really,” said Pendleton Henderson.
Kennewick native and Southridge High School graduate Therese Warner shot a 70 on the first day and is currently two-under-par tied for 37th place.
The cut is after tomorrow’s second round. The top 60 players after tomorrow will move on to the final round Sunday.
Tickets are still on sale. General admission is $12 and covers the remaining days of the tournament. Wildhorse Resort & Casino Club Wild members can receive free admission by visiting the club’s desk this weekend. Children 15 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
