PENDLETON – Blue Mountain Community College is financially healthy according to Interim President Connie Green. She said the board of education made it clear to her that in her interim role she was to restructure things to make BMCC stronger financially.
“When they asked me to come it was to help the college not continue to use reserves,” she said. “The reason the college changed the organization, and then (made) retrenchments was to get to that point.”
Green said the changes are bringing stability and the college is ready for President Mark Browning to take the reins on Sept. 7.
“What he has the opportunity to do is to take this organization and look at the areas that you can grow,” she said.
