Grass fire near BMCC is extinguished

PENDLETON – A small grass fire burned approximately five acres behind Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton on Wednesday.
Pendleton Fire and Ambulance Chief Tony Pierotti says five units from his department responded, along with one unit from the Pilot Rock Rural Fire Protection District.
The fire was in the mop-up stage by 2 p.m.
