Grant Union’s winter sports season is underway

JOHN DAY – Grant Union Jr./Sr. High School Athletic Director Andy Lusco brought in team captains from three winter sports teams to appear on KJDY’s Coffee Time on Thursday.

Mr. Lusco said that anyone wishing to keep up with the Grant Union athletics schedule, including unscheduled changes, can find that information at guhs.grantschooldistrict.org:

“Go on the school website and click on the link to our ‘Athletics’ page, and it will take you to a sub-page that has a full schedule now. [It is] a little different than you might’ve seen in the past. This has every contest in one stop. You can get on there and actually subscribe to those schedules, and when there’s updates, it will actually send you a message letting you know that those schedules have changed.”

On the show representing Boys Basketball were Sheldon Lenz and Charley Knowles. For Girls Basketball, captains Monel Anderson and Keira Stiner were behind the microphone. Holding it down for Boys Wrestling were Alex Finley and Taylor Parsons; and Mallory Lusco with Zoey Beam represented Girls Wrestling. Dance Team Seniors Hailey Mecham and Alyssa Cataloni explained their season and competitions in the final segment.
