Grant School District enters year 2 of strategic plan

JOHN DAY – Grant School District 3 has begun the school year. Superintendent Mark Witty was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently to discuss the district’s strategic plan, which is in its second year. Mr. Witty said the surveys have been a crucial information gathering instrument:
“One of the things that is super critical for us within that strategic plan is the surveys that we do. We actually take those, and definitely take the time to look through them. So, we have a staff survey, we have a parent survey, and we have student surveys. We will be doing it again to monitor, ‘how are we doing as a district?’”
