Grant School District 3 moves to online

JOHN DAY – Grant School District #3 staff and students are gearing up for the start of another school year. The first day of class will be August 25th. GSD3 Elementary Principal Janine Attlesperger, along with GU Principal Shanna Northway, were on a recent episode of KJDY’s Coffee Time. Principal Northway said registration this year is open and completely online for returning students:
“This year, we are really excited as a district. We’ve moved to online registration. So far, it’s been a really good system. We’ve had some feedback from parents that have said it’s been so easy…you used to have to come in, even for returning students, and you’re filling out a thick stack of papers, and you’re signing papers, and signing off on things. Now, it’s just a click-through menu, especially for returning students.”
Principal Attlesperger mentioned that there are paper applications for new elementary students at Humbolt and Seneca Elementary. New students at Grant Union can either call or visit the high schools to begin the registration process.
