JOHN DAY – Grant School District #3 staff and students are gearing up for the start of another school year. The first day of class will be August 25th. GSD3 Elementary Principal Janine Attlesperger, along with GU Principal Shanna Northway, were on a recent episode of KJDYโ€™s Coffee Time. Principal Northway said registration this year is open and completely online for returning students:

โ€œThis year, we are really excited as a district. Weโ€™ve moved to online registration. So far, itโ€™s been a really good system. Weโ€™ve had some feedback from parents that have said itโ€™s been so easyโ€ฆyou used to have to come in, even for returning students, and youโ€™re filling out a thick stack of papers, and youโ€™re signing papers, and signing off on things. Now, itโ€™s just a click-through menu, especially for returning students.โ€

Principal Attlesperger mentioned that there are paper applications for new elementary students at Humbolt and Seneca Elementary. New students at Grant Union can either call or visit the high schools to begin the registration process.
