HALFWAY — Students at Pine Eagle Schoolhave a new, digital addition to their hallway.
Baker County Safe Communities Coalition announced that a digital kiosk was recently purchased and set up at the school. The organization noted, “This kiosk will be a shared tool between the Prevention Program and the school district to provide drug and alcohol prevention education, suicide prevention messaging, and timely school and community updates, all in one accessible place.”
The purchase of the kiosk was made possible through the Oregon Health Authority’s Alcohol, Drug Prevention and Education Grant funding that was awarded to The New Directions Northwest’s Prevention Department.
Baker County Safe Communities Coalition wrote, “We’re grateful for this opportunity to expand prevention efforts and improve access to critical resources for students, families, and the Halfway community.”
