Grant County woman sentenced in animal neglect case

CANYON CITY – A woman will pay a fine and spend time on probation on charges from an animal neglect case in Grant County.
Grant County Circuit Court documents show that Kathrine Jade Allen pleaded no contest to four counts of Animal Neglect in the Second Degree. Allen was sentenced to 12 months on Bench Probation and ordered to pay $1,941.96 in restitution to the John Day River Veterinary Center and Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Three counts were disposed with no conviction.
Details regarding the neglect were not released.
