CANYON CITY – On Wednesday, Community Counseling Solutions Director Kimberly Lindsay updated the Grant County Court on COVID-19 vaccinations. She said that for every 100 first doses of Moderna vaccine the county receives, 100 more boosters—or second doses—will be received approximately three weeks later. Folks who received their first shot will be called by health officials to schedule their second dose.

The Grant County Health Department and Blue Mountain Hospital District will be administering COVID-19 vaccines every Monday, now through the end of March. Next week will be the largest clinic to-date. It’ll take place on Tuesday, since Monday is President’s Day. Lindsay said they expect to give 244 to 250 doses on the 16th.

Eligible folks wanting to get on the wait list to receive the vaccine can email vaccine@ccsemail.org.
