Grant County Sheriff’s front office is closed every Friday in November

CANYON CITY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was in the KJDY and News102 newsroom recently to inform listeners that for the month of November, the office of the Grant County Sheriff’s Department will be closed on Fridays:
“Here in the month of November, our office will be closed every Friday. It’s just the way the calendar fell, so I just want the community to know [that] Fridays our front office will be closed. Make sure you get stuff done the other times. Sorry for the inconvenience…we have Thanksgiving out there, we have different holidays that fall on the weekends, we’ve got scheduled time off, and it just turns out that it will be closed.”
The Sheriff assured listeners that the GCSO will still be fully staffed each Friday, but the front office will be closed, and anyone who calls will be patched through to dispatch at the Grant County Emergency Communications Center.
