JOHN DAY – (Press release from Community Counseling Solutions)
UPDATE FROM CCS: “We are needing to modify our earlier press release to state that all individuals 18 and older are now eligible to be placed on our waitlist to receive the vaccine. We will contact those on our waitlist as soon as they become eligible to receive the vaccine.”
PREVIOUSLY RELEASED:
“We are pleased to announce that all Grant County residents age 18 and older are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. If you have already called the GCHD or BMH and put your name on the wait list, you are set. You will be receiving a call this week or next. If you would like to be added to the list, please send an email to vaccine@ccsemail.org. This is our preferred route to sign people up on the wait list. When you send an email, simply let us know that you are interested in receiving the vaccine. Please provide your name, date of birth, phone number, mailing address and any chronic health conditions. You will receive a confirmation email back within 48 hours. If indicating interest through email is not possible, you may call the GCHD at between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 541-575-0429 , or Strawberry Wilderness Clinic at 541-575-0404 and ask to be placed on the COVID-19 vaccine list. Again, we greatly prefer that those interested send us email. This reduces the demand upon our phone lines and allows for easier tracking of interest. As indicated, you will receive a call in the next week or two to identify a date and time (likely a Monday) to receive the vaccine.
Blue Mountain Hospital District (BMHD), the Grant County Health Department (GCHD) and Lens Drug are closely collaborating on making the COVID-19 vaccine available to residents of Grant county, as vaccines are provided to Grant County from the state. We will administer 300 new first doses each week on Mondays for the next several weeks, or until demand for the vaccine diminishes, at which time doses will be administered by different providers in the Grant County area.
In the next three weeks we plan to hold vaccine clinics in Seneca, Monument, Long Creek and Dayville. We are still working on dates and locations. We will make this information available as soon as soon as possible.”
