Grant County participates in health survey pilot program

GRANT COUNTY – Russ Comer with the Grant County Health Department was recently in KJDY Studios on an episode of Coffee Time, explaining to listeners about the Grant County Health Survey that is taking place:
“The State of Oregon and Oregon Health Authority came to us. Some of the data points that are collected throughout the state don’t [get collected] from smaller populations. Grant County, obviously, is one of the smaller counties in the state. They decided to do a pilot program to collect some data to help guide health initiatives from the state level down into the county level.”
Grant County residents can look for the survey letters to begin showing up in the mail. Grant County and Gilliam County are the first two participants in this pilot program. The data collected will help guide health officials on how to address the unique challenges faced by Grant County residents.
