Grant County Fire Defense Board declares local fire season

GRANT COUNTY – UPDATE: (Information provided by Grant County Emergency Communications on 6/27/2022 @ 1:00 p.m.)
Per Fire Defense Board Chair, Ron Smith and in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Forestry, Grant County Fire Defense Board jurisdictions are in fire season starting today, Monday June 27th. Regulated closure will begin on Friday July 1st. Burn piles and barrels are prohibited. In unique or special circumstances, burning may occur only if permission is granted by the jurisdiction’s chief.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: According to information from Fire Defense Board Chair Ron Smith and in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Forestry; the Grant County Fire Defense Board jurisdictions are in regulated closure beginning today, Monday, June 27th.
