Grant County Emergency Operations Plan up for renewal

JOHN DAY – Grant County Emergency Management Coordinator Eric Bush was in the KJDY and News 102 newsroom, explaining to listeners that the county will soon have a new Emergency Operations Plan:
“One thing I’m looking forward [to] now is rewriting our Emergency Operations Plan, it’s up for renewal. There have been a number of changes since it was written about four years ago now. There are some great examples out there. One of the things we do that’s completely acceptable in the emergency management enterprise is plagiarism.
You know, somebody has already done it—take what they’ve done if it works! There are some great examples out there [that] I’m hoping to bring to Grant County that we can rewrite to make them a little more user-friendly than the ones we’ve had in the past.”
