Grant County Emergency Mgt. Coordinator issues caution around high water

JOHN DAY – Grant County Emergency Management Coordinator Eric Bush was on KJDY’s Coffee Time earlier this week. During the episode Bush discussed the recent high water event experienced in Grant County, and issued a few precautions as well:
“The high water that we had the other day, that’s subsided. I would still caution folks though—we’ve had some reports [come in] of people trying to recreate in the water. I mean, I appreciate their courage, but it’s probably not a really good idea with the water as high and fast-running as it is. My big thing is always making sure you look out for small children. They’re always drawn to water.”
