Grant County Deputy Coalwell rescues newborn calf

CANYON CITY – Everyone loves a happy ending! This newborn calf was found by Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy Savannah Coalwell around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night, lying in the middle of Marysville Road out of Canyon City.

Deputy Coalwell rescued the calf, placing it in the safety of her patrol vehicle. The owner was located, and the baby was reunited with its home.
