Grant County has some of the best educators in the State of Oregon and we want everyone to know about it! The five school districts and Grant County ESD are sponsoring the 2025-2026 Crystal Apple Awards. The purpose is to recognize the hard work and potential of those teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, classified staff, coaches, bus drivers, cooks and others who tirelessly work for our students.

The Districts are sponsoring two separate areas for consideration:  • Licensed educators and specialists who hold a professional license – this includes our teachers, administrators, and specialists.

• Classified employees – this includes those individuals who educate our students in a non-teacher role. This would include our paraprofessionals, transportation experts, food service people, coaches, and custodial staff.

Please provide the following information:

• The name of the nominee and where the individual is employed. • The attributes and skills the nominee possesses that deserve recognition. • A description of how the nominee has made a difference in the education and lives of children.

The nomination must include these three bullet points to be considered complete.

Teachers and classified staff who work in a Grant County school district are eligible for this award. Nominations are due by March 27, 2026.

Please drop off written nominations at the Grant County ESD, or send via email to crystalapplenominations@grantesd.org. You can also drop them off with any administrator at one of the five school districts in Grant County.
