Grant County crews battle multiple wildfire starts

GRANT COUNTY – UPDATE: The incident up Luce Creek Road is reported to be a false alarm, according to wildcad.net.
PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Firefighters have contained and are still battling multiple wildfire starts in Grant County. Wildcad.net shows several small starts Thursday in the Galena area, near the Middle Fork of the John Day River. Most of those were reported to be contained at a tenth of an acre.
One fire start near Crane Prairie was contained at two-tenths of an acre.
A new incident has been reported up Luce Creek this morning, west of John Day. No further information has been released at this time. We will provide updates as soon as they are available.
