Grant County Circuit Court hands out two jail sentences

CANYON CITY – The following is based on information received from the Grant County Circuit Court:

A man will spend time in jail for assault, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. Travis Mark Bryers, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of Assault in the Third Degree, committed on or about December 26th of last year.  

Bryers was sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on Supervised Probation for 36 months with special conditions.  The guilty plea was entered on Tuesday, January 23rd.

In another case, a man was sentenced to jail, probation, and fined on a menacing charge. Steven Michael Hueckman, 37, pleaded guilty to Menacing—Constituting Domestic Violence in Grant County Circuit Court on Tuesday, January 23rd.

Hueckman was sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on Supervised Probation for 24 months with special conditions, including no contact with the victim or their property. Steven was also ordered to pay a $500 fine. One count was disposed with no conviction.
