JOHN DAY – Grant County Emergency Management Agency Director Cammie Haney was on KJDY’s Coffee Time for National Public Safety Telecommunicator’s Week and said unlike many agencies in the state, Grant County’s is nearly fully-staffed:

“Believe it or not, we actually have 9 people. I believe 4 of those are reserves, which means that…they obviously get paid for their shift, but they are not full-time employees.

Considering where we were almost exactly a year ago at this point, where it was down to just 3 of us trying to stay open full time, we’ve really come a long way.”

Haney said there is one part-time position open at Grant County 9-1-1 Dispatch.
