Grant County 9-1-1 answered 7,460 calls to service in 2025

JOHN DAY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was in the studio yesterday and reflected on the calls to service over last year for our local first responders, and the call volume last month alone for the Sheriff’s Office:
“The county, all told, I think the call volume was about 7,460 calls in the county. Those are calls for service. [That] is total, not just what we responded to, but that’s ambulance, fire, all of those. For us, a typical month—so, the month of December—just the Sheriff’s Office responded to 398 calls.”
