UNION COUNTY – Thanks to a grant from the Wildhorse Foundation and a private donation, Union and Umatilla County Search and Rescue teams were able to acquire new lightweight wilderness rope rescue equipment.
According to Union County Search and Rescue both counties now have identical equipment which will increase interoperability, efficiency, and rescuer safety when they work together on technical rescue calls.
It was noted that Search and Rescue is incredibly grateful for their close relationship with the Umatilla County Sheriff’s OfficeSAR team which made this amazing equipment acquisition possible.
