LA GRANDE – (Release from Grande Ronde Hospital) Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics is proud to announce that our team has been recognized in not one, but two, categories in 2022 for information technology innovations designed to improve our patients’ care experience. GRH is one of only two Oregon Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) to do so, and the only one serving Eastern Oregon.
“I am so proud to be part of such a forward-thinking organization that continues to exceed the definition of small, rural when it comes to leveraging technology, while putting the patient at the center of its efforts,” said Jeremy Davis, President and Chief Executive Officer. “This recognition is particularly rewarding as it underscores our efforts to provide that “Big City Medicine – Hometown Touch” experience we strive for and stand by at Grande Ronde.”
GRH Chief Information Officer Parhez Sattar received the notification of recognition awarded for both the Acute- Level 7 and the Ambulatory- Level 7 classifications. The Most Wired awards were announced by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) earlier this month. GRH has previously achieved the Most Wired recognition in 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
“Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics has something very special going on where we explore and collaborate between all stakeholders including clinicians, operational leaders, and the information services team in order to deploy advanced information technologies and services that enable the best clinical outcomes for our patients,” said Sattar.
“We have established a strong foundation in our data collection and analytics capabilities that we can leverage and build upon as we meet the needs on the inpatient, ambulatory, and homecare services fronts. Being recognized again on the Digital Health Most Wired list validates these efforts and helps us understand what the industry indicators are for being on the right course.”
The Digital Health Most Wired is an annual survey conducted worldwide. Among the more than 38,000 organizations surveyed by CHIME, GRH ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The survey assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading. The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for healthcare organizations across the world. As success in digital health increasingly determines the quality of patient care, the scope of the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reinvent healthcare for a new century.
