Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation Announces Healthier Together Capital Campaign

LA GRANDE – (Release from the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation) At an event on July 9th at the Union County Fairgrounds, the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation announced the “Healthier Together” campaign, a new multi-year capital campaign supporting the Campus Facilities Expansion Project, the largest renovation project in the history of Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics (GRH).
The Foundation’s goal is to raise $7.5 million or more by April 30th, 2024. By then, construction of the new building will be near completion and will have begun its primary function to house an all-new, expanded, and top-of-the-line surgical services floor. The July 9th event marked the beginning of the campaign’s public phase to meet the remainder of its goal. Early efforts have brought us more than seventy percent toward the goal, including an Oregon State grant that was approved in March of 2022, as well as anonymous leadership gifts. To date, more than $5.3 million has been committed.
“Announcing this building project as well as the capital campaign signifies a huge leap forward for health care in Northeast Oregon,” said Patrick Flynn, Foundation Manager for GRH.
“This new building will enhance our ability to provide best-in-class surgical services, attract and retain top-tier talent, and reduce wait times for surgical appointments. The fundraising ensures the financial stability of our local, independent hospital and the ability to navigate downstream health care projects yet to be announced,” Flynn added.
Beyond bricks and mortar support, the Better Together Campaign seeks to strengthen the connections between the hospital and the community and provide even better communication and collaboration.
“By including philanthropy and public support in our project,” says Grande Ronde Hospital CEO Jeremy Davis, “we create the financial capacity to enrich our pro-active upstream approach to a healthy community.
