Grande Ronde Hospital CEO to testify in front of Senate committee

LA GRANDE – Mr. Davis is heading to Washington. 

Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics President and CEO Jeremy Davis is scheduled to appear before the Senate Finance Committee for a hearing called “Rural Health Care: Supporting Lives and Improving Communities.”

Davis is set to appear before the committee with other hospital leaders from across rural America.

According to a statement from Grande Ronde Hospital, “At a time when hospitals across the country are struggling to recover from the effects of the Pandemic, many rural hospitals are facing closure and service reductions. The Senate Finance Committee, under the leadership of Senator Wyden, is convening a hearing to spotlight the challenges of rural healthcare in America as well as ways to support and improve it. We appreciate Congress’s attention to the vulnerabilities of rural healthcare and are honored that our President and CEO has been invited to testify on such a critical and timely subject. He will advocate for rural hospitals like Grande Ronde, emphasizing their crucial role in the communities they serve not only as centers of healing and hope in their communities but also as vital economic foundations.
