LA GRANDE – (Release from Grande Ronde Hospital) Grande Ronde Hospital announced today that President and CEO Jeremy Davis has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of its 2025 “Critical Access Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know.” Davis was the only hospital CEO from Oregon named to the national list, highlighting rural healthcare leadership from Northeast Oregon.

The annual recognition honors leaders who advance access to care, strengthen partnerships, and improve health outcomes in rural and underserved communities.  According to Becker’s, the leaders selected demonstrate innovative thinking and strategic leadership as they navigate the unique challenges facing rural healthcare organizations.

Becker’s Healthcare notes that critical access hospital CEOs play an essential role in ensuring patients in rural communities have access to high-quality care close to home.  Their leadership helps reduce travel burdens, improve affordability for patients and families, and sustain healthcare services in the communities they serve.

Davis joined Grande Ronde Hospital in late 2018 and has guided the organization through a period of growth, service expansion, and significant investment in rural healthcare infrastructure. Under his leadership, GRH has expanded specialty services, enhanced access to advanced medical technology, and strengthened partnerships across the region to ensure patients in Northeast Oregon can receive comprehensive care close to home.

“This recognition reflects the incredible work being done across our entire organization,” Davis said. “The GRH team is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our community. I’m honored to be part of an organization that continues to invest in rural healthcare and the people we serve.”

GRH Board leadership also recognized Davis’ impact.

“Jeremy’s leadership reflects the values and vision that guide Grande Ronde Hospital,” said  Sam Kimball, Chair of the Grande Ronde Hospital Board of Trustees. “His commitment to strengthening access to care, supporting our workforce, and investing in the long-term health of our region has helped position GRH as a trusted healthcare resource for Northeast Oregon. At a time when rural hospitals face significant challenges, this national recognition speaks not only to Jeremy’s leadership, but to the dedication of the entire GRH team.”

Grande Ronde Hospital continues to focus on expanding services and strengthening access to care throughout Union County and surrounding communities. As an independent, locally governed, not-for-profit hospital, GRH remains committed to providing advanced healthcare services while maintaining the personalized patient experience that defines rural healthcare, guided by its mission: Quality health care is our mission. Patients are our passion.

The Becker’s Healthcare editorial team accepted nominations and curated the list to highlight leaders demonstrating exceptional commitment to advancing healthcare access.  The publication notes that individuals cannot pay for inclusion and that the list recognizes leadership contributions across the country.
