LA GRANDE – (Release from Grande Ronde Hospital) La Grande, OR – For the second consecutive year, Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics (GRH) has been recognized with a 2024 Performance Leadership Award for Excellence in Outcomes by the Chartis Center for Rural Health (Chartis). Based on the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, this award reflects GRH’s ongoing commitment to delivering top-quality care and achieving outcomes that consistently surpass national benchmarks. This recognition is especially meaningful as it coincides with the celebration of National Rural Health Day, a time to honor the vital role of rural healthcare providers like GRH.
Compiled by Chartis, the Performance Leadership Awards highlight rural hospitals that perform in the 75th percentile or above across critical categories such as Quality, Outcomes, and Patient Perspective. GRH has received recognition in the outcomes category, which specifically honors hospitals demonstrating superior results in areas like low readmission and mortality rates.
“Achieving excellent outcomes means we are getting care right for our community,” said Jeremy Davis, President and CEO of Grande Ronde Hospital. “Our team’s dedication to quality and compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do. I’m proud of their commitment to consistently deliver the best possible care for our friends and neighbors.”
The Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX® provides a comprehensive, objective assessment of rural hospital performance across multiple operational and financial metrics. This trusted framework is widely used by rural hospitals, health systems, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to track and enhance performance.
“The Performance Leadership Awards capture the commitment, diligence, and innovation with which America’s rural hospitals approach the delivery of care within their communities,” said Troy Brown, Network Consultant at The Chartis Center for Rural Health. “It’s an honor to recognize this year’s award winners and celebrate their achievements in advancing rural health.”
As Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics continues to serve the region, this award affirms its unwavering commitment to excellence in rural healthcare and its role as a trusted provider in Union County and beyond.
