Grand jury indicts Pendleton man on robbery-related charges

PENDLETON – Cody Ray Dubois, 38, of Pendleton is facing numerous felony charges related to a robbery. He was taken into custody on Monday for an incident that occurred July 28. His bail is set at $2 million.
The Pendleton Police Department says officers responded to a report of an individual having been robbed of personal items including an e-bike in the 400 block of Southeast Fourth Street. The victim told police a weapon was brandished and he was threatened with bodily harm.
The investigation revealed that Dubois was the suspect. He was arrested early Monday and subsequently indicted by a Umatilla County grand jury on charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon, and first-degree menacing. Additional charges and/or suspects are being considered as the case remains open.
PPD states the incident does not constitute a threat to the public in general.
“This criminal act was not random and is believed to be an isolated incident,” their release about it states.
