Governor nominates 3 Northeast Oregon commission representatives for senate approval

UNION & BAKER COUNTIES – Governor Tina Kotek recently submitted a list of state board and commission appointments to the Oregon Senate’s Committee on Rules for confirmation. These nominees, if approved, will represent a variety of different fields through their respective commissions. Among the roughly 100 appointees being submitted, 3 are from the tri-county region:
- Margot Geagon. Eastern Oregon University, Board of Trustees. Union County.
- Rae Ette Newman. Teacher Standards and Practices Commission. Union County.
- Mark Bennett. Land Conservation and Development Commission. Baker County.
