JOSEPH, OR – (Information provided by the Joseph School District) Joseph School District has announced that Jason Gorham will be replacing Principal Sherri Kilgore. Kilgore has taken a position with the Pendleton School District.
Jason grew up in Summerville, Oregon. He graduated from Southern Oregon University with Bachelor’s degrees in History and Geography and went on to earn his Master’s in Education. He received his administration license from Portland State University and comes to us with 23 years of experience in education. Jason has lived in Wallowa County for the past 6 years and his oldest two children have been JHS graduates (2017, 2019). His youngest son currently attends JHS and his wife, Angela works in the library. Jason is passionate about student travel and has taken several tour groups to Europe as well as led student travel tours on both the West and East Coasts. He also loves the outdoors, hiking, snow shoeing, kayaking, golfing, anything sports related and reads any book that his librarian wife brings home (even though he can finish books 10x faster than she can)! Jason said he is very excited about this new opportunity and we look forward to having Jason on board as an Eagle.Kilgore has been Principal for Joseph and Imnaha’s Schools for the past 17 years.
