WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department reports Skylar (also spelled Skyler) Glasby, 34, of Dayton was taken into custody Wednesday after being shot while allegedly attempting to break into a home on the 500 block of North Roosevelt Street on April 7.
During the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to charge Glasby with several crimes. Additionally, a search warrant was executed on Glasby’s vehicle where two stolen firearms were located. Glasby, who is a convicted felon, is not legally allowed to possess firearms.
Glasby was contacted and taken into custody. He was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on the charges of residential burglary, felony harassment (threats to kill), two counts of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm.
If Glasby’s name sounds familiar, he has had several run-ins with law enforcement in both Washington and Oregon. He was convicted of kidnapping, robbery, and assault of a Milton-Freewater man in 2016, but his sentence was overturned and the charges against him in Umatilla County dropped because a key witness could not be located.
