WALLA WALLA – Skylar Glasby, 32, of Dayton is back in jail. This time he’s in Walla Walla County Jail after being arrested by Walla Walla police detectives late last week. His bail on narcotics charges is set at $50,000.
Glasby is also scheduled to stand trial in Walla Walla County Superior Court on a domestic violence charge. He was arrested in Waitsburg for that incident in August 2020.
The suspect had been reported to be dealing drugs at Safeway. Detectives mounted an undercover investigation that saw him being arrested for possession with the intent to deliver drugs late last week.
Glasby had been serving time on a conviction in Umatilla County when he won the right to have the case retried based on procedural errors. The state ended up dismissing the charges against him because the district’s attorney office was not able to locate a key witness against him.
He had been found guilty of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping, second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, second-degree theft, third-degree escape and possession of narcotics in 2018. The case involved the kidnapping, robbery, and assault of a man in Milton-Freewater in 2017.
