WALLA WALLA – A Dayton man charged for multiple crimes in Walla Walla County will be sentenced May 16 after he pleaded guilty to three crimes in an agreement that dismissed several of the charges against him.
Skylar Glasby, 33, admitted to attempting to elude, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possessing stolen property in the second degree.
Charges of assault in the first degree and drive-by shooting, both armed with a firearm; unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree; possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and use of drug paraphernalia, both violations of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act; and driving while licensed suspended or revoked, were dismissed.
Glasby has had numerous run-ins with law enforcement in Oregon and Washington. The charges in this case stem from various crimes committed in Walla Walla County in 2021 on March 26, November 1, and December 28.
If his name sounds familiar, Glasby was in an Oregon prison after being convicted in Umatilla County on charges involving the kidnapping, robbery, and assault of a Milton-Freewater man. He won an appeal, charging that he was denied permission to get a new attorney or act as his own attorney and was remanded to Umatilla County for retrial. The district attorney’s office was forced to dismiss the charges against him because a key witness could not be found.
