PENDLETON – People can get wild in Pendleton again this summer. Chamber of Commerce CEO said that last year’s successful campaign to attract visitors was never intended to be a one-and-done event.
“We came into this with the understanding and idea that this is something we want to continue,” she said. “We want to be a destination for folks, especially during the summer months.”
Rosenberg said that the groups who got together last year are already meeting on a weekly basis and are looking for support.
“We’re putting sponsorship packets together,” she said. “That’s one way we’re going to be sustainable.”
Rosenberg said that last summer they invested $100,000 in marketing the weekends and expect to spend about the same amount this year.
