Get Wild in Pendleton budget transfer prompts special meeting

PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council is holding a special meeting at 7 p.m. today via Zoom. The meeting is to take action on a budget transfer that will help the Chamber of Commerce pay the costs associated with mounting its series of Get Wild in Pendleton events.
The appropriation of $45,000 would be a transfer of $45,000 between two divisions in the city’s general fund. A transfer resolution does not require a second reading and public hearing to be enacted. Contingencies can be adjusted up to 15 percent of total expenditures without requiring the approval of a supplemental budget.
