HARNEY COUNTY-Local firefighting agencies in Harney County received a major boost this week thanks to the generosity of neighboring first responders and community members in Idaho.
Parma Rural Fire & EMS, alongside members of their local community, put together and delivered care packages to support three local departments currently responding to wildfire incidents in the area:
Silver Creek Rural Fire Protection Association (RFPA)
Burns Fire Department
Hines Fire Department
Representatives from the local departments expressed immense gratitude for the thoughtful supplies, noting that the care packages will significantly aid crews working long hours on the frontlines.
“We would like to give a HUGE Thank You to Parma Rural Fire & EMS and their community for their donations,” officials shared in a statement. “The care packages you sent over will help out a lot! This is extremely generous and very appreciated!”
The gesture highlights the strong bond and mutual support shared among rural fire districts and emergency service personnel across state lines during challenging fire seasons.
