Gekeler Lane project makes progress

LA GRANDE – (Information from the La Grande Public Works) With the completion of the Gekeler Lane project the focus of the Public Works Crews will shift to 16th Street. Tomorrow crews will start on an overlay project on 16th Street that will begin on Gekeler Lane and extend North. As we move into cooler temperatures crews will be moving quickly to complete some final paving projects for the year and will be taking advantage of warmer temperatures and availability of asphalt.
There will be closures of the roadway while the project is being completed. Traffic will be detoured to 18th or 12th Street during the closures. Please contact Public Works at (541) 962-1325 with any questions.
