GCSO reconnects woman with information on her father’s death

CANYON CITY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently and shared a story with listeners. He said a woman had reached out the Sheriff’s Office a few weeks ago, looking for information on her father who had been killed in a plane crash in 1992 within Grant County.
The Sheriff said that luckily, they were able to help her out:
“We were able to actually find the records…photos from the crash, all the reports. [We] got her connected with actual eyewitnesses of that crash. It was quite an event, her getting to reconnect with all of that. You know, something that happened here in this county. That’s just a small part of some of the stuff we actually do, besides, you know, out chasing everything else…”
