GCSO hires two for patrol and one for P&P

CANYON CITY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley said folks will begin to see some new faces representing Grant County’s finest in 2023. He said they’ve hired on three people recently:

“We picked up Sam Stinnett. He was a local face that many will know—he was a City of John Day Patrol Officer, and picked him up for in our parole and probation side, so he’s over there now and was sworn in.

Also, we picked up Garrett Shreve. He’s in the area for a Deputy, and then also Mike Ratchick filled a vacancy we had on the patrol side.”

At the end of 2022, the Sheriff issued a letter to his staff and the public and in it stated that last year was the busiest on record for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
