GCSO Deputy Ordway helps rescue injured hiker in remote Grant County

JOHN DAY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was in the studio recently, and commended Deputy Franklin Ordway on his handling of a Search and Rescue call up Forest Road 1300:

“There was an individual up the 13 Road a couple of weeks ago that Deputy Ordway actually went in and helped get out of there. They were stuck way back in there and injured. [He] got them out to the ambulance—the ambulance could not get up to them—and I want to say ‘kudos’ to him for getting that done. It was a team effort with the crews that were in there”
